Profitability Level and Determinants of Tea Intercropping in Taraba State

Intercropping involves the cultivation of more than one crop on a plot land at particular time. Tea intercropping with other crops can increase profitability farmers and development tea plants. The study estimated level intercropped farms determined factors affecting systems in area. Information was obtained from two hundred four using well-structured questionnaire. analytical techniques used were descriptive analysis linear regression. results revealed that majority (95.6%) are Kakara Nyiwa towns. There few (2.9%) women involved farming Taraba State. 29% young less 30 years old above 60 years. Fifteen percent single, 83.8% married 1.5% divorced. About 40% had no formal education, 21% have between 1-6 19% 7-12 education greater 12 education. gross margin is 289,900,581.9 per farmer 1,421,081.28. net income 2,879,055,533.3 1,411,301.63. amount profit make State ₦1,425,001 ₦6,985.30. Labour costs (weeding, pruning, application insecticide, watering) cost materials (cutlass, file, chemical, bag others) significant determinants system profitable Nigeria.
